Set and maintain quality standards for company products through the use of systematic processes. Develops, modifies, and executes software test strategies, plans and suites. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. May develop tools and environments to automate test execution. We’re looking for a highly skilled QA/Automation Engineer with deep experience in 802.11 WiFi technologies, strong Python-based automation capabilities, and hands-on expertise with industry-standard wireless test tools. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment, enjoys breaking complex systems, and is passionate about building robust automated test frameworks.
What you'll do:Design, develop, and execute automated test suites for wireless networking products, focusing on 802.11 standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be). Validate wireless performance, stability, roaming, throughput, and interoperability across a variety of testbeds. Use tools such as IxChariot, Veriwave, and Candela to perform performance benchmarking, traffic generation, and protocol validation. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, with a strong emphasis on:
Pytest framework for structured test development
REST API automation for backend and device-level validation
Paramiko for SSH-based automation and remote device control
Collaborate with development, firmware, and product teams to identify defects, analyze root causes, and drive resolutions. Create detailed test plans, test cases, and documentation for new features and regression cycles. Participate in continuous integration and continuous testing initiatives to improve test coverage and efficiency. Contribute to the enhancement of internal automation frameworks and tools.
What you need to bring:
Education and Experience RequiredBachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent.
Typically 6-8 years of experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong understanding of 802.11 wireless standards, RF fundamentals, and WiFi system behavior. Hands-on experience with IxChariot, Veriwave, Candela, or similar wireless test platforms.
Proficiency in Python with experience building scalable automation frameworks.
Solid experience with Pytest, including fixtures, parametrization, and reporting.
Experience automating REST APIs and using Paramiko for SSH-based interactions.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problemsolving skills. Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical findings clearly.
CWNP certifications (CWNA, CWAP, CWSP, or similar) strongly preferred.
Experience with WiFi 6/6E/7 testing environments.
Familiarity with traffic analysis tools (Wireshark, Omnipeek).
Exposure to CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, GitHub, or similar.
Knowledge of Linux environments and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing).
