UMG is currently seeking an eager and exceptional individual to join our Network Design Team. The position will be responsible for setting direction of the technical roadmap and the supporting technical architecture for wireless networking within the corporation. This organizational-wide view covers multiple products, platforms, environments, and solutions and involves evaluating factors such as market and technology trends, business goals, corporate vision, and cost considerations. The Network Engineer may also be called upon to provide domain expertise, performance analysis, remediation recommendations, escalation incident support in order to ensure clients/projects are properly serviced.
How we LEAD:

Responsible for creating solution architectures, standards, and providing input on the technical/reference architecture for wireless networking.

Responsible for developing enterprise wireless network architecture standards and providing facilitation, communication, and education around those standards.

Serve as primary Design Engineer for wireless networking.

Create designs related to the Network and Security Infrastructure
-
Collaborates on Enterprise Continuous Improvement.

Implement and deploy network and security solutions.
-
Serve as the primary Tier three Engineer for Wireless Networking.
-
Responsible for lab & technology pioneering, including POC, technology evaluation and certification.

Responsible for staying up-to-date with emerging industry/technology trends
-
Provide Tier 3 escalation support for Network and Security incidents.

Provide problem and root cause analysis for complex wireless network and security Incidents.
How you'll CREATE:
Skills/Abilities:
• Cisco CCDP/CCIE in Route/Switch or Security preferred
• Deep Engineering level experience in Cisco and/or Juniper Mist Wireless Networking
• In-Depth knowledge of IP network protocols including BGP and OSPF
• Ability to create detailed designs across multiple network disciplines.
• Ability to develop/implement designs both independently and as part of a team
• Solid written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Ability to conduct research into IT network/security issues and products as required
• Familiarity with IT governance standards including ITIL
• Cross architecture domain troubleshooting / diagnostic / and remediation recommendation
• Desktop skills / applications – Windows, MS Office suite / Visio
Bring your VIBE:
• Experienced IT professional with 8+ years overall experience and minimum of 5 years as a Wireless Network Engineer.
• Experience in the design and delivery of presentations to both technical and business leadership teams (2 years minimum)
• Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Enterprise Wireless networks (Cisco and Juniper Mist preferred) (5 years minimum)
• Experience designing/troubleshooting Enterprise switches and routers (2 years minimum)
• Experience designing/troubleshooting firewall solutions for large Enterprise networks desirable
• Experience designing/troubleshooting Cisco Data Center Technologies including: N9K and N2k desirable
• Experience analysing/developing Network LAN/MAN/WAN, and Security designs in both Greenfield and Brownfield deployments.
• Automation/scripting experience desirable.
Education:

BA or BS degree in an IT related field or an equivalent combination of formal education and applicable experience required.
