What you will do
- Design and implement advanced physical layer algorithms for our wireless communication solutions (LEO Satellite networks).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of physical layer software/firmware with other system components.
- Optimize the performance of the physical layer system by conducting in-depth analysis, debugging, and code optimization.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies to verify and validate the functionality and performance of the physical layer system.
- Responsible for the design and planning of wireless radio communications systems.
What you bring to this role
- Significant work experience in baseband wireless modems, physical layer design, and implementation is required.
- In depth understanding and hands-on experience in Layer 1
- Strong expertise in developing and optimizing physical layer algorithms for wireless communication systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Proven track record with innovative problem solving and hands-on experience in design, development, testing, and evaluation of digital wireless systems.
- Prior experience in developing Layer 1 software for NXP chipsets is highly desirable
- Strong background in communication theory, digital signal processing, and wireless communication systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
- Previous experience in wearable technology
- Experience in wireless standards a significant (4G, 5G, 5G NR, LTE, etc.)
- Programming/scripting skills in MATLAB, Python, C/C++ is a plus
- Demonstrated skills in the design of communications simulation tools
- Deep understanding of 3GPP physical layer protocol specification
- Wearables experience
This is a full time, exempt position, based out of our Saratoga, CA office or Arlington, TX. The total compensation packaged will be determined by various factors such as your relevant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
We are redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured and used—so we’re looking for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience on LEO satellite component development, design and in-orbit activities. If that’s your experience – then we’ll be immediately wow-ed.
