Job Summary:
The Wire Administrator in the Mortgage Industry is responsible for overseeing and executing wire transfers related to mortgage loan fundings. This role ensures that all wire transactions are processed accurately, securely, and in compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Wire Processing and Execution:
    • Process wire transfers for mortgage loan fundings
    • Verify and validate wire instructions, ensuring they match mortgage loan documents and meet compliance standards.
    • Coordinate with title companies, lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate wire transfers.
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Monitor and reconcile daily wire transfer activity
    • Prepare and maintain detailed reports on wire transfer activities, including end-of-day reconciliation and exception reporting.
    • Track and report any discrepancies or issues in wire transactions, taking prompt corrective action.
  • Communication and Coordination:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for wire transfer inquiries related to mortgage transactions.
    • Communicate with internal teams to resolve any issues related to wire transfers.
    • Work closely with external partners such as banks & title companies to facilitate smooth wire transactions.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure all wire transfers comply with federal and state regulations, as well as internal company policies.
    • Identify potential risks or fraud related to wire transfers and implement measures to mitigate these risks.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.


Experience:

  • Previous wire desk experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of mortgage loan processing, closing, and funding procedures a plus


Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during high-volume periods.
