Job Description
Location: Dallas, TX
As the Wire & Cable Manufacturing Manager, you’ll lead a high-impact team producing application-specific, multi-core cable and ruggedized assemblies for a variety of industries. Your leadership will directly influence our ability to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions to customers who depend on us. You’ll oversee a team of both direct and indirect reports—ensuring smooth operations across multiple shifts with occasional weekend work. This is a hands-on leadership role where your decisions shape safety, quality, and efficiency on the floor.
What you’ll do
- Lead and support a team consisting of supervisor, technicians, and machine operators across multiple shifts
- Prioritize production schedules based on product launches, equipment efficiency, and material availability
- Resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions to improve processes
- Work with suppliers and engineers to review, develop, and test new materials for use in wire and cable products
- Collaborate with engineering on documentation, work instructions, and routing
- Participate in reviews of non-conforming materials and drive quality improvements
- Estimate labor and process capabilities for new product introductions
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all regulations
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback
- Oversee cross-training and development of wire and cable production staff
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
What you need
- Strong leadership and communication skills – Required
- 5+ years’ experience managing manufacturing operations, preferably in wire and cable – Required
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and production schedules – Required
- Knowledge of production planning, materials flow, and workflow optimization – Required
- Engineering discipline degree or equivalent technical background – Preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent – Required
- Proficiency in a second language – Preferred
- Willingness to work across two shifts with some weekend availability – Required
- All candidates must hold ‘US Person’ Status for access to ITAR controlled technical data
