We have openings for WinField United Market Development Agronomist Interns in the following locations for Summer 2027:
Iowa: Ames, IA
Illinois: Effingham, IL
Tennessee: Jackson or Martin, TN
Internship Duration: 11 weeks (May – August 2027)
This position will require some travel throughout the duration of the summer. Interns are paid $25.00/hour. Relocation assistance may be provided to eligible candidates for the duration of the summer internship.
As a Market Development Sales Agronomist Intern, you will contribute to advancing our seed and crop protection products by conducting research and analysis, collaborating with your local team on your project, and supporting the MDA and sales team with agronomic insights that aide sales execution. This internship is a gateway to our WinField United Associate Program, a 2-year rotational program (full-time).
Experience-Education (Required)
Sophomore or Junior (preferred) undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Ag Systems Technology, Digital Agronomy, Agriculture, or related field
Possess a valid driver’s license; have and maintain a satisfactory driving record
Required GPA of 3.0 or higher
Competencies-Skills (Preferred)
Interest in pursuing advanced degree in Agronomy, Crop Sciences, or related field
Interest in technical agronomy and becoming a subject matter expert
Prior experience in sales or ag retail, with a focus on customer interaction
Familiarity with the ag retail system
Excellent communication, writing, and critical thinking skills
Manage time and effectively prioritize and implement projects and general work tasks
Resourceful and innovative in finding solutions to problems
Flexible and can adapt to changing business surroundings
