Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
1. Windows Server & Core Infrastructure Leadership

Lead administration and advanced troubleshooting of Windows Server environments (production & DR).
Own Active Directory services, including:
GPO design and enforcement
Domain hardening and security best practices
FSMO roles, trust relationships, replication health

Administer and troubleshoot DNS services, ensuring high availability, security, and correct name resolution across environments.
Act as the technical authority for Windows platform‑related incidents, escalations, and root cause analysis.

2. Messaging & Collaboration Services

Administer and support Exchange Online and Exchange Edge Servers, including:

Mail flow, connectors, transport rules
Email security and hybrid considerations
Troubleshooting delivery, authentication, and connectivity issues

Coordinate closely with security and compliance teams to ensure secure and compliant email services.

3. High Availability & Application Platforms

Design, implement, and manage Windows Failover Clustering for critical workloads.
Support and troubleshoot SQL Server High Availability solutions (Always On, Failover Cluster Instance – knowledge focus).
Administer and maintain IIS-hosted applications, including performance tuning and incident resolution.
Ensure platform resiliency, uptime, and documented recovery procedures.

4. Citrix & Workspace Services

Provide administration and operational support for Citrix CVAD (Virtual Apps & Desktops) environments.
Troubleshoot session, performance, profile, printing, and connectivity issues.
Collaborate with virtualization and network teams to ensure stable end‑user experience.

5. Patching, Security & Vulnerability Management

Lead Windows patching strategy across servers and supported platforms.
Own remediation of security vulnerabilities, working with security teams to:

Analyze exposure
Apply mitigations or fixes
Ensure audit readiness

Review vulnerability scans and ensure closure within agreed SLAs.

Promote automation and standardization to reduce manual effort and operational risk.

6. Leadership & Governance

Act as a technical leader and escalation point for the Windows and workspace domain.
Mentor and guide junior engineers through coaching and knowledge sharing.
Produce and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and SOPs.
Participate in architecture discussions, change reviews, DR drills, and audit activities.
Proactively identify technical risks and propose improvements to management.

Qualifications

Strong hands‑on experience in Windows Server Administration
Advanced expertise in AD, DNS, Group Policy
Solid experience with Exchange Online & Edge
Proven experience with Windows Clustering & SQL HA concepts
Working knowledge of IIS administration
Experience in Windows patching, security hardening, and vulnerability remediation
Basic PowerShell scripting skills
Hands‑on experience with Citrix CVAD
Excellent troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills

Skills Required
