Greenvolt Power Spain is looking for a Wind Engineer who will be a direct contributor to the correct design of Greenvolt projects footprint in Europe by actively participating in the design supervision and design of large-scale renewable wind energy projects .
Key accountabilities
- Collaborate in the tendering processes (RFQ/RFP) in technical requirements and design.
- Good understanding of project design drawings and able to participate in discussions with designers (Pre-Executive design and design) and BOP Contractors.
- Supervises the quality of services and products provided by external suppliers
- Defines, prepares and control the documentation to be able to start timely a construction of the renewable energy project
- Under coordination with procurement department, to prepare technical documentation and scope for bidding procedure for external suppliers
- Schedules project steps and works to achieve the most efficient, timely and cost effective construction of wind farm
- Supervise and control that during the design phase the Building Permit requirements are respected.
- Analise the layouts and reports from the resource department and propose possible upgrades.
- Coordinates internal information flow within Development Team, Legal, Procurement, HSE & Quality
- Manage and control of technical /Time Schedule /H&S/Quality issues during design process
- Collaborate during construction process and provide solutions to construction design problems appear, in coordination with the BOP company.
- Negotiation skills and problem solving
Requirements
- Engineering background (preferable Civil Engineer),
- 5 years of experience in Renewable Energy projects mainly from wind farm (Utility scale) construction.
- All round experience in bringing RtB projects to C.O.D.
- Tendering processes (RFQ/RFP) , technical evaluation of BOP Contract,
- Solid Design Management experience in renewable power plant and medium voltage infrastructures.
- Great knowledge of engineering.
- Good understanding on how to handle communication with the different stakeholders during the design process.
- Keep costs aligned with construction budgets, and time schedule.
- Experience in working with Auto cad, MS Project, MS Office
- Familiarity with the components and technical equipment usually installed in large-scale onshore wind, solar PV plants and high voltage lines and substations.
- Availability to travel around Europe, in all areas where projects are.
- Whole understanding of project design drawings and able to participate in discussions with designers and BOP Contractors
- Good English and Spanish language skills (written/Spoken)
- Good reporting and team work skills

Skills Required
- Engineering background (preferably Civil Engineer)
- Minimum 5 years experience in utility-scale wind farm construction and renewable energy projects
- Proven experience bringing Ready-to-Build projects to Commercial Operation Date (C.O.D.)
- Experience with tendering processes (RFQ/RFP) and technical evaluation of BOP contracts
- Design management experience for renewable power plants and medium-voltage infrastructure
- Strong engineering knowledge and ability to read and review project design drawings
- Ability to communicate with designers, BOP contractors, and other stakeholders
- Cost and schedule control experience to keep construction aligned to budgets and timelines
- Experience with AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office
- Familiarity with components and technical equipment used in large-scale onshore wind, solar PV, and high-voltage substations/lines
- Willingness and availability to travel across Europe
- Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken)
- Good reporting, teamwork, negotiation and problem-solving skills
