Team Overview and Job responsibilities
You will be part of the Finance and Controlling team reporting directly to the Plant Controller, Assistant Controller, is responsible for various higher level plant cost accounting and/or financial accounting functions and will participate in both finance and non-finance teams and projects. Your main responsibilities will be to assist with Month End Close activities, Forecasting and Business planning. Additionally, you will deal with Manufacturing KPIs on a daily basis to ensure upper management receives clear and accurate data to make strategic decisions for the plant.
Your day to day will include but not limited to:
- Maintain cost control processes to support accurate financial reporting and forecasting
- Assist with all Financial closing activities for the facility along with forecasting data.
- Inventory Counts
- Set up new part numbers for production.
- Update bills of material to ensure accurate costs and meticulously review actual costs for any discrepancies
- Validate Fix assets controls, procedures, and accuracy.
- Reconcile the balance sheet accounts
- Ensure validity and accuracy of transactions recorded in the ERP through analysis and internal audit
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of spending activities, including purchase orders, receiving, payment processing
- Provides assistance with AP related matters
- Maintain good records for all Payroll data providing accurate analysis of the current situation.
- Maintain productive relationships with external accounting firm, partners, and vendors
- Review plant process controls and update where needed.
- Perform Layer Process Audits related to either safety and manufacturing procedures.
Who are we looking for?
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in financial accounting, cost accounting and/or manufacturing finance
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency with Excel
- Must be able to work independently based on general policy guidelines
- You are a clear communicator
- You can and like working in a fast-paced environment.
- You are exceptionally structured & organized.
- You are a problem solver.
Desired qualifications:
- Experience with ERP implementations
- Experience with SAP
