Purpose and Impact: Amentum/Secure Networking Solutions is seeking a WIDS Specialist Level II to provide technical support for Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS) operations supporting Amentum’s Skywalker program. The WIDS Specialist Level II is responsible for administering the Bastille WIDS platform, leading Monitoring & Response (M&R) activities, analyzing wireless threats, and ensuring compliance with DoD and IC requirements. As such, the WIDS Specialist Level II will need an understanding of the Bastille WIDS system, DoD/IC wireless protocols, RF theory, and knowledge of National and DoD directives, orders, regulations, and instructions governing the conduct of WIDS activities. Because the WIDS Specialist Level II role will work on a geographically separated team, excellent coordination and communication skills are expected. 

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. 

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor WIDS environments using the Bastille platform to detect unauthorized wireless activity. 

  • Analyze RF-based threats and recommend appropriate mitigation and response actions. 

  • Support M&R activities and wireless incident investigations. 

  • Generate site-level operational reports, metrics, and incident summaries. 

  • Maintain WIDS documentation, operating procedures, and reporting templates. 

  • Coordinate with Government stakeholders and engineering teams to resolve wireless security issues. 

  • Operate wireless monitoring and direction-finding equipment in support of security operations. 

  • Ensure compliance with applicable DoD and IC policies and procedures. 

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:  Office Setting, but may be required to install sensors and wiring, which requires climbing ladders and lifting up to 20 lbs. 

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): 

  • Experience operating and administering the Bastille WIDS platform. 

  • Knowledge of wireless protocols, RF theory, and wireless threat detection. 

  • Experience supporting M&R and wireless security operations. 

  • Ability to analyze security events and prepare technical reports and documentation. 

  • Strong written, verbal, and analytical communication skills. 

  • Ability to travel worldwide. 

Security Clearance Required:   TS/SCI with Poly 

Minimum Education:  Bachelor’s Degree  

Minimum Years of Experience:  

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Experience supporting WIDS operations within DoD and/or IC environments. 

  • Experience with RF monitoring, wireless security operations, and incident reporting 

       

Compensation Details:

$120,000-$140,000
