The Space Systems Solutions Division, within the Leidos Aerospace Systems Business Area, currently has an opportunity for a Software, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineer Summer Intern to work at our Huntsville, AL Dynetics campus providing support to the Wide Field of View (WFOV) program. This is a dynamic opportunity in which talented interns can thrive working alongside junior and senior engineers on a diverse array of multidisciplinary projects in the space systems arena.
Primary Responsibilities

Support engineering design and integration activities for aspects of WFOV systems.

Develop conceptual CAD or Software models and produce engineering drawings (if needed).

Work collaboratively with project team(s) to formulate innovative solutions to complex problems and products across a broad range of applications.

Support project team(s) across multiple disciplines with the completion of document deliverables.
Basic Qualifications
-
Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.

Applicant must be actively working toward a Bachelor's degree in Software, Mechanical, Aerospace, or similar Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited college or university.

Applicant must be a US Citizen.

Applicant must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or above.

Ability to perform physical work such as lifting up to 30-lbs.

Knowledge of and ability to use common hand tools.

Applicant must be willing to work in-office in Huntsville, AL.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SolidWorks CAD software

Desire to solve complex technical problems and learn from a team of experienced engineers
