This is an exciting opportunity where you will provide overall sales and marketing support for our Wholesale Distribution team for Asia with adherence to our Values and Code of Ethics.
How you'll spend your time..
Sales and Marketing Support:
- Support our Wholesale Distribution team in achieving their strategy covering the Singapore, Southeast Asia and Hong Kong intermediary markets.
- Assist in the production and delivery of fund updates and commentaries, presentations, sales briefing and seminar material, sales ideas, fund launches and responses to client requests and questions.
- Play a proactive role in continuously developing/upgrading our marketing and sales materials.
- Assume a liaison role between our intermediaries, prospects and partners to ensure effective, consistent and timely communication.
- Conduct competitor analysis on funds, market news and research to generate sales blasts for client communications. Analyse Funds’ holdings to enhance the width and depth of data provided to intermediaries.
- Coordinate (in partnership with the Asia Pacific Marketing and Communications team if needed) client/prospect meetings, sponsorship events, seminars and roadshows with visiting Portfolio Managers, Client Portfolio Managers and Senior Management. Manage and coordinate local events.
- Assist in the coordination of resources and work with Product Specialists, the RFP Team and the Client Services team to complete RFP/RFI’s and other sales activities.
- Operate as back up when the salesperson is out of the office, by receiving client enquiries and responding where appropriate, or relaying to sales person for follow-up.
- Analyse reports and identify potential problem situations, trends, and improvement opportunities. Initiate changes to processing as needed.
Product Knowledge:
Acquire and keep up-to-date a thorough understanding of our products, the rationale for each and be familiar with the Portfolio Managers’ current positioning, and maintain a log to evidence this. Understand the Investment teams' market perspectives. Help identify new sales ideas.
Team Work:
Partner closely with colleagues across the firm, and especially in the Asia Pacific region to build a successful, market-leading business.
To be successful in this role you will have...
- Prior relevant experience in a similar position, preferably in wholesale business operations, asset management or in a fund product management function in a bank.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Bloomberg Professional and Morningstar Direct.
- Fluent in written and verbal English is essential, fluent Cantonese and Mandarin would be helpful.
- Intellectually curious, with high level of self-motivation, energy and drive to learn, grow and succeed.
- Ability to work proactively, independently and under pressure with accuracy, as well as to be well integrated into the wholesale team.
- A team player with superb problem solving abilities; strong planning, organizational, analytical and technical skills; good communication and interpersonal skills.
