JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Whole Goods Handler to join our warehouse team. This role involves the efficient receiving, handling, and shipping of farming machinery and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage heavy machinery safely and effectively.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Receiving:
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments of farming machinery and parts against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Unload, unpack, and organize products and machinery in the designated areas.
- Perform quality checks to ensure items are free from damage and meet company standards.
• Storage and Inventory Management:
- Properly store machinery and parts in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and report discrepancies.
• Shipping:
- Prepare outgoing shipments by assembling, packing, and labeling products as per customer orders.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule deliveries and manage logistics.
- Ensure all shipping documents are completed accurately and in compliance with company policies.
• Safety and Maintenance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
• Customer Service:
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to address any issues related to shipments or inventory.
- Provide support and information to customers regarding order status and delivery schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2+ years’ experience in warehouse distribution.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Experience with the following computer applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Solomon, CRM and other applications are plus.
• Required to lift up to 50 lbs., regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility
• Capability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including those typical of a warehouse setting.
• Work performed in a combination of warehouse and office environments.
• Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without any restrictions
• Okay to work 100% on-site in Tacoma, WA
