WGL - Sr. Strategy Analyst
Position Summary
The Sr Business Analyst optimizes business operations and enhances strategic market presence by analyzing business performance, identifying growth opportunities, building long-term business outlook and strategy development. Sr Business Analyst will partner with various stakeholders (internal & external) to develop and implement strategic plans.
You Will:
• Supports business unit strategic planning and development of long-term business strategies through quantitative analysis, industry and market research and leadership engagement.
• Conduct thorough industry and market research, focusing on both core utility operations and emerging lower-carbon technologies.
• Contributes to the development of content for critical strategic efforts, such as the strategy board meeting and executive committee sessions.
• Lead and monitor the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring timely progress and proactively identifying and mitigating risks or issues.
• Prepare and deliver presentations for senior leadership and the Board, providing clear updates on strategy implementation and outcomes.
• Provide project analysis, including timeline tracking, resource allocation, and risk management.
You Have:
• Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance, Engineering, Data Science or a related field preferred.
• 5+ Years experience involving a combination of financial analysis, strategic scenario analysis, evaluation of new business opportunities, evaluation of mergers and acquisitions, and/or strategy consulting.
• Strong research and industry analysis skills. Experience with creating compelling business cases for a variety of growth opportunities that are backed by sound strategic thinking, research, and analytical support.
• Demonstrated skills and experience in achieving results in both “big-picture” analysis and detailed work situations.
• Knowledge of quantitative analysis, with the proven ability to interpret results and translate them for various audiences.
• Advanced proficiency of Microsoft office tools – PowerPoint & Excel.
• Knowledge of BI tools preferred including GIS Systems or PowerBI
We offer a competitive salary range of $94,000.00 to $136,000.0 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
