WGL - Senior Business Analyst
We’re seeking a strategic and analytical Senior Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you’ll help shape the long-term direction of our business by analyzing performance, identifying growth opportunities, and supporting the development of forward-looking strategies. You will:
- Support strategic planning and long-term business development through data analysis, market research, and stakeholder engagement.
- Conduct in-depth industry research, with a focus on both core utility operations and emerging low-carbon technologies.
- Contribute to high-impact strategic initiatives, including board and executive committee presentations.
- Lead and monitor the execution of strategic projects, identifying risks and ensuring timely progress.
- Deliver clear, compelling presentations and updates to senior leadership and the Board.
- Provide project analysis, including tracking timelines, resources, and risks.
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis, strategy development, or related roles.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to build compelling business cases.
- Experience in strategic scenario analysis, M&A evaluation, or strategy consulting is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; knowledge of BI tools is an asset.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
- A balance of big-picture thinking and attention to detail.
Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary range of $82,000 - $118,750 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
