The Global Workforce Management Delivery organization is responsible for delivering technology solutions to drive growth, enable efficiency, and improve the associate experience for a cross functional set of Global users. What you’ll do:

The North American Solution Delivery Selling & Store Operations Team is responsible for managing Front and Back of Stores solutions within TJX IT. The organization delivers capabilities to the stores that enrich the Customer and Associate experience and provide business value. We seek a motivated, talented, experienced Senior Engineer to help guide the lifecycle of these capabilities through planning, design, and delivery within Back of Stores modernization strategy

In this role you will be responsible for developing the technology associated with the Workforce Management (operations, productivity, product flow, etc.) solutions for a cross functional set of North American and Europe users. Using your Engineering mindset, you will help deliver solutions to our rapidly growing US, Canadian and Europe partners.  In this role, you will work in the Workforce Management scrum team, a part of the Global Back of Stores Agile Release Train.

You will help design, configure and develop features and services enabling key business priorities for optimal business value.  You will own the technology aspect for Global Workforce Management systems: Kronos Workforce Central and WorkJam, helping develop the integrations, monitoring the integrations, configuring the system etc., You will work in a fast-paced environment which will challenge you to think creatively and exhibit an agile mindset.  All the solution delivery work will be done within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

Responsibilities

  • Develop new features and services that are low-medium level of complexity working with the product/platform/infrastructure/security team
  • Design, code, deploy & support working software/technology component, working collaboratively with architects and other engineers.
  • Responsible for code analysis, debugging, review and execution of unit/integration tests. Create test automation scripts.
  • Responsible for delivering clean, secure, performant code / technology components that meets all the non-functional requirements.
  • Sets up application jobs, creates test data, and supports deployment, all at a medium to high level of complexity.
  • Actively participates in Development process definitions, best practices and standards.
  • Should help write stories or add details to the stories
  • Mentor other engineers on the team.

Skill/Knowledge

  • 5+ years of Experience in Developing, Solutioning productivity tools (like Workjam, Reflexis, etc)
  • Experience with integrating across different systems including UKG Pro WFM
  • 2+ years of experience with API management, data mapping and building distributed systems
  • 2+ years of experience with Middleware technologies like MoveIT automation, etc
  • 2+ years of experience with Python, Java, data modeling
  • 3+ SaaS/Cloud Practices
  • Strong analytical skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve integration issues
  • 3+ years of experience with Automation Technologies (Tosca)
  • 2+ years of experience developing applications using databases ex., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, CosmosDB etc.,
  • 2+ years of experience with Agile and DevOps tools such as Git/Gitlab, SonarQube, JIRA, Confluence etc.,
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Knowledge of Middleware Technologies like Boomi, Apigee, MOVEit Automation, etc.,
    • Knowledge of Oracle HRIS, Workday etc., with respect to integrating with UKG Time & Attendance systems
    • Knowledge and Experience with Retail business process
    • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps tools such as Git/Gitlab, SonarQube, JIRA, Confluence etc.,
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
  • Ability to use Jira and Confluence and source code management tools such as Git
  • Knowledge of & experience in DevSecOps best practices.
  • Ability to adapt easily to changing requirements and priorities
  • Assumes responsibility for providing a high level of customer service and takes personal accountability for outcomes
  • Strong critical thinking & influencing skills
  • Demonstrates lean agile mindset and embraces the culture of continuous improvement and learning
  • Works independently and/or as part of a team
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle, within an AGILE environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Engineering skillset / training / work experience in relevant technical domain
