Valmet is looking for a Product Manager responsible for applying wet end and dewatering technology offerings to find customer solutions while working in the performance parts/consumable portion of our business. Providing the best customer solutions, developing growth targets within each area, and ensuring the product presentations are tailored to the specific needs of our customers. The candidate must have a technical understanding of our wet end solutions and dewatering offerings within the performance parts group. This position is unique in the fact that it will require both significant interactions externally with customers for solution generation and significant interaction internally, defining specification and scopes.
- Responsibilities also include project development, reviewing technical specification and drawings, providing technical support, and assisting sales with troubleshooting wet end and dewatering solutions.
- Business area responsibilities in the North America, with the possibility with some international travel.
- Generating and/or proposal drawings, graphs, simulations and/or specifications and assist with quotes.
- Supporting Engineering and Inspectors/drafters with applying the latest Valmet technology.
- Develop and maintain strong technical competence in wet end and dewatering technology; this will include training responsibilities for internal and external customers.
- Work closely with PEP PSM’s in North America to develop and grow the wet end and dewatering (DWEA) business using cadence and rigor of compass and group continuity.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A good understanding of paper machinery and knowledge of wet end related products and technologies with the ability to translate strategy into meaningful actions will be helpful. Travel is required for this position.
