Baker' Bay Golf & Ocean Club is seeking a Wellness Manager to ensure that the highest level of service is offered to the members of Baker’s Bay Golf & Ocean Club.The Wellness Manager works with the Director of Wellness to ensure that the highest level of service is offered to the members of Baker’s Bay Golf & Ocean Club by providing the members with personal, gracious and professional service throughout the Spa, Fitness and Locker Room areas. The Wellness Manager is responsible, delivering a world class service by ensuring SOPs are followed in all areas of the wellness department; drive and help retain spa and fitness capture rate, operating criteria, programming, budgeting, staff relations, and scheduled training. The Wellness Manager will directly report to the Director of Wellness and assist in supervising the Locker Room Manger, Fitness Manager, fitness instructors, spa therapists, and general attendants.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall Spa & Fitness administration, ensuring high standards of professionalism, customer service and optimum financial performance.
- Responsible for the full functionality of the Spa & Fitness operating system (TEI and Trybe) and other supporting club operating systems. -
- Responsible for developing, adhering to, and constantly managing the Spa & Fitness menu/ programming.
- Lead a variety of world class Fitness & Yoga private sessions and group classes.
- Assist with providing Spa & Salon services within the given scope of your qualifications. Complete accurate and timely billing of all Fitness & Spa services. -
- To input and update spa inventory for accurate accountability at the end of each month.
- To ensure the Spa & Fitness team is fully competent with executing their duties regarding the administrative system.
- Responsible for the development of the spa therapists.
- Ensure the spa team is fully trained and equipped to do their jobs daily.
- Provide an effective structure for communication within the Wellness team at all levels
- Ensure that all the Club’s HR policies and procedures are followed by the entire Wellness team.
- Monitor standards of performance and member satisfaction and introduce measures to ensure the highest standards of quality and service.
- Effectively integrate the Spa, Fitness, Locker Room, and Member Services to maintain constant visibility within the property.
- Be a liaison with the Sales and Member Services departments in the preparation and development of marketing plans for the year. Coordinate all promotional plans and projects for the facility.
- Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality management, or business management, or related field
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a 4-5 star resort setting or in the luxury related field
- Minimum 2-3 years management experience in a 4-5 star resort setting or luxury related field
- Certified personal trainer and/ or registered yoga instructor with at least 2 years proven experience leading private and group sessions
- Licensed massage therapy, cosmetology, or aesthetics
- Proven experience working as a spa therapist
- Proven experience working as a manager
- Sound knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Previous experience in the guest service industry
- CPR/AED, First Aid certified

- This position may require moving a variety of equipment. Should be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
