We're looking for an experienced and passionate leader who can create meaningful opportunities for residents to stay connected, engaged and living well. Through leading wellness programs and supporting a team of Wellness Partners, you'll help enhance quality of life and resident wellbeing every day. 

About the role 
 

As a Wellness Lead, you'll provide leadership and oversight of the home's Wellness & Engagement Program, ensuring activities are person-centred, inclusive and aligned with residents' goals, interests and abilities. Working closely with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams, you'll support meaningful engagement that promotes independence, dignity and wellbeing. 

You will: 

  • Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of wellness and engagement programs 

  • Coach and support Wellness Partners and volunteers to deliver positive resident experiences 

  • Develop meaningful activities that support physical, emotional, social and cognitive wellbeing 

  • Collaborate with residents, families and care teams to ensure programs meet individual needs 

  • Monitor resident engagement, wellbeing outcomes and program participation 

  • Maintain accurate documentation and support continuous quality improvement 

  • Build community connections and support events and special celebrations 

  • Ensure activities and environments are safe and align with quality and compliance requirements 
     

Role requirements 

  • Diploma in Leisure and Health with extensive relevant experience 

  • Current Queensland Driver Licence 

  • Experience designing and delivering wellness, lifestyle or engagement programs in aged care, disability or community settings 

  • Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring or leading staff and/or volunteers 

  • Strong understanding of person-centered practice, dementia care and cultural safety 

  • Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams 

  • Knowledge of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, WHS and risk management principles 

  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or organisational policies
