THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Welfare Business Unit Director to our Welfare Division team in Italy!

As the Welfare Business Unit Director, you will have full strategic and operational leadership of the Fitprime brand—the legal entity of the Wellhub Group dedicated exclusively to the development, growth, and management of the Welfare channel.

This is a critical leadership role for a dynamic, adaptable professional ready to guide a high-performing team through scaling phases and future market evolutions, fostering talent growth within the Wellhub ecosystem.

YOUR IMPACT
  • Strategy and Business Growth: Manage the Fitprime brand to protect existing revenue streams and scale turnover derived from the Welfare channel. Drive agile strategy to prepare the business unit for potential future expansion tracks (such as B2C positioning in Italy within the next 2-3 years).
  • Stakeholder & Partnership Management: Negotiate and manage complex strategic contracts with Welfare Providers, insurance intermediaries, corporate C-Levels, and local associations (e.g., Aon, Assolombarda), utilizing a "win-win-win" approach.
  • People Leadership: Directly lead, inspire, and mentor a large, multidisciplinary team of motivated young talents across Sales, Operations, and Customer Success. You will balance the operational workload and streamline a team structure to unlock professional growth and cultivate a unified "Single Italy Team" vision.
  • Process Automation & AI: Oversee project management efforts to reduce operational workload through automation and deep system integration.

  • Experience: Proven experience leading business units, divisions, or fast-growing startups.We highly value exceptional adaptability, readiness for change, and a track record of scaling businesses.
  • Project Management: Excellent process management skills, focusing on reducing operational workload through automation and system integration.
  • Commercial & Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to lead high-level negotiations with C-level executives and ecosystem partners to unlock new growth channels.
  • People Management: Highly effective leader comfortable managing large teams, maintaining high motivation, and organizing structure to balance leadership span of control.
  • Strategic Flexibility: Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifts in business models, with the vision required to scale current B2B operations while assessing future market opportunities.
  • Fluent English

The gross annual salary range for this position is € 91,383 to € 100,000. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

Compensation is governed by the CCNL per i dipendenti da aziende del Terziario, della Distribuzione e dei Servizi ("Commercio") - collective bargaining agreement (CBA). The role is classified as Quadro.

The annual salary includes the standard base pay components defined by the CBA (Art. 206), as well as the 13th-month salary paid in December (Art. 220) and the 14th-month salary paid in July (Art. 221), for a total of 14 monthly payments. The annual salary range shown is based on a full-time, 40-hour workweek (Art. 130). Monthly salary is paid at the end of each month in line with our regular payroll cycle.

In addition to base salary, this role is also eligible for variable cash compensation, which is either our annual bonus plan or a sales incentive plan, and/or our performance-based stock option program.
