About the Role:

• We are looking for a passionate communications expert who has experience working in a fast-moving environment and has delivered fantastic results. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing communications goals, strategies and campaigns that align with our business goals and further enhance our reputation as the leading pan-Asian fintech platform. You will be part of a dynamic team at the Group level which works with the Senior management, different markets and business units in driving a wide array of communications initiatives.You will be at the core of crafting and telling the inspiring story of the Group’s pan-Asia business aspirations. A lot of the things we do are “new” so we can be bold, be creative and think outside of the box. This is a rare opportunity to join an Asia fintech leader in growth mode.

What you’ll do and what success looks like:

• You will need to be an exceptional communicator and a strong collaborator.
• You can build relationships and credibility with key stakeholders, such as media, business partners, internal teams, etc.
• You are willing to try new things and can manage numerous projects with tight deadlines. Things happen quickly at WeLab, and to do great work, you need to be an enthusiastic team player who can work cross-functionally with partners across Communications, Marketing, Product, and beyond.
• You can often work across teams and markets, ensuring business-wide communications ladder up to the same objectives and deliver outcomes successfully.
• You have the ability to take a complex topic and communicate it simply and clearly, adapting for different audiences where needed.
• From media outreach and project management to message development and impact measurement, you will carry out daily public relation functions to deliver clear narratives for WeLab.
  

What we’re looking for:

• Degree in Journalism, Marketing and PR related disciplines preferred
• At least 4-5 years of work experience in PR agencies, media outlets or in-house Public Relations, and Corporate Communications departments, preferably with exposure to regional media relations
• Experience in PR and communications including media relations, copy writing, social media management, and crisis management. Experience with creative multi-media, tools such as generative AI applications would also be an advantage.
• Exposure to and knowledge on the financial and/or banking industry would definitely be a plus
• Be an innovative problem solver, who can think outside the box and exercise business judgment
• Be a team player to support the Group’s objectives and have a #nevernotmyjob attitude
• Ability to build effective relationships both internally and externally to be able to collaborate cross-functionally and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Be an effective communicator, with spoken and written fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
