Introduction:

The Weights & Measures Program Lead at TGCS oversees the compliance, maintenance, and certification of tools within the Maintenance and Installation Services Divisions. Key responsibilities include ensuring all tools meet regulatory standards, managing licensing processes, coordinating maintenance and calibration schedules, and providing expert support to internal clients. This position is essential for maintaining regulatory compliance and supporting TGCS’s retail clients effectively. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Program Management: Oversee the entire Weights & Measures program, ensuring all aspects are aligned with TGCS's strategic objectives and compliance requirements. Develop and implement comprehensive policies and procedures for the program to maintain high standards of accuracy and reliability.
  • Compliance and Certification: Ensure all Weights & Measures kits used in the Maintenance and Installation Services Divisions meet regulatory standards and are properly certified. Manage the licensing processes for all relevant kits, ensuring they are current and meet legal requirements. Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Internal Client Support: Collaborate closely with teams to understand their needs and ensure kits and services meet their expectations. Provide advice and support to teams regarding compliance and regulatory issues related to weights and measures.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver training for TGCS staff on the use and maintenance of weighing and measuring tools. Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to continually improve the Weights & Measures program.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports on program activities, compliance status, and any issues or discrepancies identified during audits. Ensure all documentation related to kits, licensing, and certifications is accurately maintained and easily retrievable.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 


Areas of Expertise & Special Skill: 

  • High School Diploma with 8+ years’ related experience, and IT/Technical degree or certificate preferred. 
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and standards related to weights and measures. 
  • Able to identify problems and provide solutions 
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for program management and documentation. 
  • Build cooperative working relationships with the Service Delivery Managers and Executives 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and vendors to achieve program objectives. 
  • Strive to continuously find improvement opportunities that benefit performance  
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary
