Description
We are seeking an experienced Webmaster to oversee and manage the European websites for Cadillac, Corvette, and Chevrolet, each with unique business needs. The Webmaster will play a key role in ensuring both the direct-to-consumer (D2C) websites and non-D2C websites are optimized for customer engagement and business performance, while handling rapid content updates, campaign uploads, and localization.
This role requires collaborating closely with local customer experience, marketing, commercial, financial services, and aftersales teams, as well as working with global HQ teams for technical, product, and UX/UI support. The Webmaster will manage copywriting, coordinate with external agencies for transcreation and localization, and provide key input on website performance, SEO (technical and content), and compliance.
- Website Maintenance & Optimization: Act as a liaison between global product and marketing teams responsible for the technical health and security of the websites. Ensure timely optimization of sites for performance and speed, while managing content updates and coordinating with HQ teams for technical support.
- Content & Campaign Management: Work with marketing, commercial, financial services, and aftersales teams to create content roadmaps and manage content updates, including fast-paced campaign uploads and product launches. Manage copywriting and collaborate with external agencies to handle transcreation and localization to align with regional needs.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Implement and oversee both technical SEO (working with HQ teams to ensure best practices for website structure, speed, mobile-friendliness, and indexing) and content SEO (ensuring on-page optimization such as keyword integration, metadata, and internal linking) to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic.
- Customer Engagement & Digital Integration: Where applicable, ensure that D2C capabilities, such as CRM, Customer Engagement. and Commerce solutions are well-integrated into the website and work closely with the digital product teams to enhance engagement, lead generation, and sales.
- User Experience (UX) Enhancement: Work with the design team, including UX/UI specialists, to enhance the user journey across all websites. Ensure feedback and data insights are incorporated to continuously improve the digital experience.
- Analytics & Reporting: Collaborate with marketing and global digital sales and services teams to monitor and analyze website performance, including traffic, conversion rates, and customer engagement. Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and measure the success of SEO strategies.
- Security & Compliance: Colaborate with marketing, global product and engineering teams to ensure all websites comply with global security standards and regional regulations (e.g., GDPR). In close collaboration with marketing, ensure data privacy, security protocols, and compliance are prioritized in all website operations.
- Project Coordination & PMO Collaboration: Work closely with local and global PMO teams to secure smooth project orchestration, aligning on deadlines, business objectives, and key deliverables for campaigns and website changes.
- Collaboration with External Agencies: Manage relationships with external agencies for transcreation, localization, and additional support to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality, localized content.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits to ensure the websites are functioning properly, especially after major updates, ensuring a seamless user experience across all platforms.
Additional Description
- Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience managing and maintaining websites. Experience in fast-paced industries where frequent content and campaign updates are necessary.
- Expertise : with basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Technical & Content SEO : Proven experience with both technical and content SEO strategies, ensuring website structure and content are optimized to maximize search engine performance and organic traffic growth.
- Collaboration Skills : Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (marketing, commercial, financial services, aftersales) and external agencies for transcreation and localization.
- Technical Skills : Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), CRM tools (eg. Salesforce, Adobe), and e-commerce platforms (eg. Shopify) is required. Knowledge of web performance tools (Adobe Analytics), SEO tools (Google Search Console, SEMrush).
- Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to coordinate troubleshooting efforts for website functionality and performance, working closely with global teams and local stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail : Maintain high standards for website functionality, SEO performance, and compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
Nice to have:
- Experience with a combination of D2C and non-D2C platforms.
- Native German or French preffered.
- Ability to liaise with global HQ teams.
- Basic web development concepts.
- Automotive experience.
