We are currently looking for a WebLogic Application Developer/Administrator for a 100% remote position on a large federal government project. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and manage WebLogic and IBM ODM-based systems while collaborating closely with cross-functional technical teams in an agile environment. This role involves both development and system administration tasks, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across enterprise applications.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using WebLogic and IBM ODM technologies.
  • Manage and configure WebLogic servers and associated environments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify, debug, and resolve application and system issues across WebLogic, Java, and IBM ODM platforms.
  • Design, migrate, and forecast development activities while maintaining large-scale database integrations.
  • Create and maintain REST and SOAP APIs using XML, XSLT, and JSON.
  • Utilize version control tools such as Git/GitHub and track issues using Jira.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on development experience with Java, WebLogic, and IBM ODM.
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise software development and implementation.
  • Proficiency in full software development lifecycle including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Strong experience with REST and SOAP web services, Java EE, JPA/Hibernate, and JavaScript.
  • Expertise in WebLogic configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Understanding of database version compatibility and migration strategies.
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub and agile development practices.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills and collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance.
  • Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other federal agencies is preferred.
  • Prior experience adhering to software version control principles using GitHub.
  • Strong hands-on experience with WebLogic and IBM ODM in enterprise environments.
