HackerRank’s brand experience team is responsible for ensuring every market touchpoint is authentic and impressive. We care deeply about craft, leveraging technology to augment our skills and our impact, and treat every member as a builder capable of moving the brand forward. The team is growing, and we’re looking for a top-tier design engineer fluent in Framer to help us raise the bar.
This role sits between design and development, working closely with stakeholders across product, marketing, and the executive team to define our vision and then implement it in modern, performant, engaging experiences. You will own the Framer site and its component system, working closely with designers and internal content creators to shape our web marketing pages through polished, production-ready code and an immersive interactive experience.
What you’ll do- Own the component library including custom coded components, balancing ambitious motion and interaction with performance and scalability.
- Ensure any custom code is production ready and secure.
- Manage the CMS database, connecting with third-party tools as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with designers and content creators and showcase your own taste and creative talents.
- Ensure pages perform well for international visitors regardless of device size or connection speed, degrading gracefully where necessary without impacting overall experience.
- Rapidly prototype ideas and work with the Framer and Figma MCPs to quickly move from concept to live site.
- Raise the bar on what is possible, pushing ambitious experiences that draw attention.
- Have a strong web engineering background, with experience working with JavaScript frameworks, Tailwind, and are comfortable working within a coded design system.
- Have shipped ambitious sites using Framer or Webflow and can showcase how you raise the bar for yourself and others.
- Can demonstrate how you ensure code you write or generate is secure and performant, orchestrating AI to achieve great results.
- Can confidently prototype your own ideas and move quickly between concepts into a final version with minimal outside help.
- Are comfortable with ambiguity and collaborating closely with executive and senior stakeholders to bring a new web experience to life.
- Consider yourself high-agency and proactively look for opportunities to provide impact while working in coordination with multiple contributors.
- Have developed fluency in AI tools and working with agents to multiply your impact.
- You have experience with CMS platforms and connecting third-party integrations within Framer.
- You have worked with Figma MCPs or other AI-assisted design-to-code workflows and can demonstrate the results.
- You have a background in motion design or advanced CSS animation and can bring a distinctive interactive quality to the web experience.
- You're as comfortable in code as you are in design. You move fluidly between Framer, a code editor, and a design file, and you take pride in shipping work that's as clean under the hood as it looks on screen.
- Ambiguity doesn't slow you down - it motivates you. You can work alongside executive and senior stakeholders where direction evolves, and you're able to turn loose ideas into polished, live experiences.
- You use AI as a force multiplier, not a shortcut. You've built real fluency with AI tools and agents, and you actively look for ways to raise the quality and pace of your work through them.
The base salary range for this role is $150,000 – $180,000, plus a target 10% annual bonus tied to individual and company performance. You will also receive equity (stock options) and a comprehensive package of cash and non-cash benefits.
