We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join our dynamic Business Technology team. In this role, you will design and implement tailored software solutions, guide technical teams, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide continuous support for architecture solutions, aligning with organizational standards and best practices.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks and challenges, proposing effective solutions to manage technical debt.
- Work with Product Managers and Business Analysts to translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
- Lead technical discussions, capturing requirements, and identifying risks and dependencies.
- Ensure seamless user experiences and foster strong relationships with customers and partners.
- Contribute in agile team settings, including collaboration with mobile app development teams.
- Supervise and mentor developers and testers, ensuring projects meet technical goals and deadlines.
- Track milestones and deliverables, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to enhance the team’s technical proficiency.
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that meet business requirements.
- Maintain high code quality through reviews and adherence to established coding standards.
- Engage in hands-on coding when necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software development experience, with 5+ years in technical leadership roles.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of creating technical documentation and effectively presenting solutions to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, challenge conventional practices, and proactively develop innovative solutions aligned with business goals.
- In-depth understanding and application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles in web and backend development, as well as database design and implementation.
- Experience designing robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions utilizing design patterns and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Node.js, and Next.js, with a strong command of modern frameworks and tools.
- Hands-on experience with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, React), including cross-platform frameworks like Swift and React Native.
- Expertise in database management systems such as PostgreSQL or NoSQL solutions (e.g., MongoDB).
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with project management and documentation tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Proven leadership experience, including guiding technical teams, enforcing coding standards, and ensuring alignment on architecture and best practices.
- Collaborative mindset, able to work with product managers, QA engineers, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business requirements.
- Strong background in code reviews, performance optimization, and rigorous testing practices.
- Candidates based in Kansas City or willing to travel periodically will be preferred.
