As the Engineering Manager for Audience Solutions at Bombora, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our audience taxonomy and data delivery pipelines. You will lead a team of engineers working to optimize how we organize audience data, build efficient systems for delivering it to key platforms, and ensure the robustness of data flows across multiple exchanges, including LiveRamp, The Trade Desk, and others. This role combines strategic thinking with technical leadership to support the growth of our audience solutions offerings.

You will….

  • Manage, mentor, organize, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers
  • Architect, develop and maintain data systems that ensure accurate, efficient, and scalable data delivery to exchanges like LiveRamp and The Trade Desk
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, data science, and marketing, to define and implement strategies.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for design and data governance to ensure data consistency, quality, and compliance.
  • Work closely with exchange partners to ensure smooth integrations and optimize data delivery performance.
  • Drive improvements in the speed, accuracy, and scalability of data delivery processes.
  • Mentor and grow engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Ensure that data delivery systems meet stringent SLAs for data accuracy, timeliness, and availability.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in data management and audience targeting solutions.
  • Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and team performance to deliver high-impact solutions on schedule.

You have…

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Experience building solutions for advertising technology (AdTech) or marketing technology (MarTech).
  • Familiarity with data delivery platforms and exchanges such as LiveRamp, The Trade Desk, Google Ads, etc.
  • Strong experience in data engineering, SQL, and Python, particularly in data delivery at scale.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data processing technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, BigQuery, Airflow).
  • Understanding of audience data, targeting methodologies, and the advertising technology ecosystem.
  • Proven track record of leading technical teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners.
  • Servant leadership management style with a focus on empathy.
  • Experience in agile development and project management.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

 Bonus points 

  • Knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and how they impact data management and delivery.
  • Solid Understanding of Microservice architecture or Data as a Service
  • Familiarity with GCP and BigQuery.

Compensation Package

  • The salary range for this position is $160,000 to $200,000 Actual compensation may vary and will be based on a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and location.

Employees engage in a combination of remote and on-site work.

Our hybrid policy offers employees an office for when they want one. We have offices in New York and Reno, Nevada. Bombora also hosts annual Company-wide kickoffs in January, so employees get a chance to fly into our NY office to meet fellow Bommies.
