About the role:
We’re looking for a Web Developer / Frontend Engineer to join our growing team and work on Settle’s marketing website as well as other customer-facing initiatives. This hybrid role combines traditional web development with frontend engineering, requiring both strong technical skills and a focus on creating seamless, visually appealing web experiences.
This is a 3-month contract with the potential for full-time conversion, offering a unique opportunity to enhance our public-facing presence. You will collaborate closely with the marketing, product, and design teams to build and maintain a high-performing website. Your work will play a key role in shaping how customers engage with and perceive Settle.
What you'll do:
- Build and maintain our marketing website, ensuring exceptional performance, usability, and visual quality.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and design teams to implement new features, pages, and user experiences.
- Translate design mockups into responsive, high-performance web pages.
- Optimize website performance, SEO, and accessibility.
- Contribute to our internal React component library, ensuring alignment with Settle’s Design System.
- Participate in frontend platform improvements to enhance scalability, efficiency, and developer experience.
- Write clean, maintainable code and leave the codebase better than you found it.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure system reliability and responsiveness.
What You’ll Need:
- 2+ years of experience as a Web Developer or Frontend Engineer, with a strong portfolio of websites or web applications you’ve built or maintained.
- English: upper-intermediate or higher.
- Strong proficiency in CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Familiarity with modern web development tools and frameworks.
- Experience translating business and marketing goals into effective technical solutions.
- A growth mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A strong focus on delivering an exceptional user experience, with keen attention to detail.
- Experience with test-driven development.
Bonus Points For:
- Knowledge of SEO strategies and tools.
- Exposure to backend technologies and a willingness to contribute to backend development when needed.

The monthly starting salary range is between $5,250 to $7,500 USD.
