Put your editing skills to work! At Esri, we are dedicated to helping our customers see the power of ArcGIS. We’re looking for a writer with a keen eye and a quick pace who can review and edit web copy updates to ensure style, accuracy, and consistency. We invite you to utilize your experience writing and editing content to help us communicate Esri stories across our website. You’ll apply style guidelines and work in a fast-paced environment while leveraging our web content management system. Our content team works across multiple distribution channels, but in this role, you will focus on web editing and writing for all Esri.com pages.

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Edit and/or write web copy across Esri.com. Build document templates and review content provided by stakeholders. Write impactful headlines and calls-to-action. Maintain high standards for quality, clarity, brevity, accuracy, and readability of content.
  • Editorial Oversight: Work with stakeholders across the company to make high-quality and timely editing decisions. Maintain editorial standards and ensure content is consistent with our brand voice and Esri style guidelines.
  • Research: Conduct thorough and timely research to understand our products, services, and target audience, and translate that understanding into compelling content.
  • Collaboration: Manage relationships with cross-functional teams to develop content strategies that drive authentic, consistent and compelling messaging. Be a proactive member of the team through strong communication, driving results, assisting colleagues, and meeting deadlines with tight turnarounds.
  • Innovate and Adapt: Find smart, creative ways to apply best practices while recognizing stakeholder messaging. Strategically apply AI writing tools into workflows to optimize efficiency and improve consistency across Esri.com.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a web writer, copywriter, marketing writer, or journalist
  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the talent to quickly produce multiple options under pressure, and within specifications (such as word count, target audience, voice, style)
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and trends, AI writing tools, and content management systems
  • Demonstrate an extremely high level of attention to detail and ability to work within complex templates and style guidelines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to understand and translate complex concepts into clear, concise, compelling content

Recommended Qualifications

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$70,720$106,080 USD
