JOB SUMMARY

Provides a broad range of support to the market and the organization for ERCOT.com, and other ERCOT websites, that support the communication of information to the market and public. Performs operational analysis and support of ERCOT online content distribution. Establishes and maintains content ownership ad content management processes per best practices. Creates and consistently improves upon workflow for the content of ERCOT.com and its related sites, as well as to analyze site data and traffic to maximize the online impact of all initiatives.

JOB DUTIES
  • Understands and applies principles, theories and concepts related to the profession and ERCOT's culture.
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

  • May respond to inquiries and/or provide assistance and/or guidance to lower level workers.
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES
  • Provides day-to-day operational support for ERCOT’s public websites and mobile
  • Manages tasks to provide policy, establish production schedules, solve publication problems and organize changes
  • Contributes to business and project implementation supporting the further development of ERCOT’s websites
  • Interfaces with several key groups in the company to ensure quality product delivery while acting as a liaison between technical and business groups
  • Utilizes user-centered design, usability principles and heuristics based on establishment of proficiency standards for external and internal UIs of ERCOT systems
  • Works with ERCOT business groups to develop a consistent brand/image for ERCOT, brand awareness, increasing visibility, generating inbound traffic and encouraging product adoption
  • Conducts research, including a content audit, and a review of artifacts
  • Audits usage of end points by users
  • Attends meetings, does research to obtain items for publication, verifies facts and clarifies information
  • Organizes material, plans overall and individual webpage layouts and works to create effective access and readability through navigation and graphical interfaces
  • Analyzes site design and content and recommends improvements related to graphic design, layout, navigation and copy
  • Support efforts to ensure clean, consistent approach to presentation of existing and new content, especially site navigation and functionality
  • Enforce quality and brand control standards, as well as message consistency with communications departments
  • Establish content quality guidelines for authors/publishers
  • Trains users on the content management system (both processes and tools)
  • Establish and enforce content aging standards in compliance with Records Management and Protocol/binding document requirements
  • Works to create interdepartmental relationships
  • Provides the organization with business, process and technical analysis in support of these initiatives
  • Analyzes site designs and recommends improvements related to graphic design, layout, navigation, and usability
  • Analyzes and documents business requirements and participate in the testing efforts for operational and project system changes
  • Performs other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE
  • Requires minimum 2 years job related work experience in excess of degree requirements
  • HTML, CSS, Content management for a highly visible website, Web publishing experience
  • Web design, user experience, and Social Media
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's Degree : MIS, Computer Science, Business, or related field (Required)
  • or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required

Expected Salary Range:

$68,471 - $112,954
