Job Description: Web Content DesignerThe Web Content Designer will create and manage engaging online content for DHS geospatial portals.Key Responsibilities
- Design and update web pages for geospatial applications.
- Ensure accessibility compliance (Section 508).
- Optimize web content for usability and performance.
- Collaborate with developers and graphic artists.
- Maintain content management systems.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Web Design, Communications, or related field.
- 3+ years of web content creation experience.
- 7+ years of experience required without a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and CMS platforms.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards.
- Strong design and layout skills.
- Experience with DHS or government web portals.
- Basic graphic design skills.
- The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DHS suitability determination, complete the Entry on Duty (EOD) process, and pass required background checks. U.S. citizenship is required.
