Position: Web Application Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain modern applications. This role focuses on building high-quality, scalable solutions using contemporary web technologies, collaborating across teams, and ensuring smooth deployment and post-implementation support.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate technical system specifications into working, tested applications
  
• Develop detailed programming specifications and generate high-quality code
  
• Compile, maintain, and test data-driven programs
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during software use and operation
  
• Support implementation, conversion, deployment, and migrations
  
• Collaborate with IT professionals across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  
• Design, code, test, debug, and document applications
  
• Apply structured development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
  
• Work with relational and hierarchical databases and query languages
  
• Conduct design walkthroughs and reviews with project teams
  
• Provide post-implementation support and resolve technical issues
  
• Create user and system documentation
  

Technical Qualifications

Core Skills

• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js
  
• Experience building and testing RESTful APIs
  
• Working knowledge of Jamstack architecture
  
• Hands-on experience with Progressive Web Applications (PWA)
  
• Expertise in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and CSS frameworks
  
• Experience with responsive design, front-end optimization, debugging, and version control
  
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, task boards, and pipelines
  
• Experience integrating authentication systems (e.g., identity and access management platforms)
  
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure
  
• Experience with headless CMS and front-end user features (login, profile, notifications, sign-up)
  

Development & Architecture

• Experience in application design, deployment, and troubleshooting
  
• Knowledge of modern design patterns
  
• Experience with communication protocols and integrations
  
• Hands-on experience with database technologies and data retrieval systems
  

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of Internet-ready and rapid application development (RAD) methodologies
  
• Familiarity with middleware and gateways
  
• Experience reviewing and modifying installation scripts
  
• Knowledge of information management principles and accessibility standards (AODA)
  
• Experience with data warehousing, ETL methodologies
  
• Exposure to Java and application development frameworks is an asset

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
  
• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and subject matter experts
