Why You Should Apply
Yousician is looking for a Web App Designer to join our Berlin-based Web team, focused on building and evolving the GuitarTuna Web platform, a product used by millions globally. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment where design and engineering go hand-in-hand.
You’ll design, prototype, and help ship high-quality user experiences across our web stack, combining visual clarity with front-end finesse. If you’re motivated by shipping, care about details, and enjoy collaborating with engineers and PMs to solve real problems quickly, you’ll feel right at home here.
We value practical experience and a strong portfolio more than formal education. If you’re comfortable moving between design tools and browser dev tools, and you enjoy turning ideas into usable, testable outcomes, we want to meet you.
What You’ll Do
- Design and prototype user-centric web experiences across our product and marketing surfaces, from landing pages to interactive tools.
- Partner with product, engineering, and data to rapidly experiment, test hypotheses, and launch designs that improve usability and conversion.
- Take ownership of the visual language and interaction patterns across the GuitarTuna Web platform.
- Help elevate our design and front-end craft, giving and receiving thoughtful critique in a collaborative team.
- Translate real user problems and behavioral insights into elegant, responsive, and accessible web interfaces.
- (Bonus) Contribute to front-end development using modern web technologies like HTML/CSS/JS/React, especially during prototyping or iteration phases.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- A strong portfolio showcasing thoughtful, well-executed web design work, ideally with real, working examples.
- A user-first mindset; you focus on clarity, usability, and performance, not just polish.
Fluency in Figma and modern design tools; bonus if you’re comfortable working directly in code. - Solid understanding of responsive design, interaction patterns, accessibility, and system design.
Experience (or interest) in experimentation and A/B testing as part of product development. - Comfortable navigating fast feedback loops and rapid iterations

Your own instrument
We also have our own stage at our Helsinki office. We also have a double bass, electric and acoustic guitars, a baby grand piano, digital pianos, mixers, microphones, drums, you name it! We have jam sessions after work on Fridays (when it’s safe to do so).
A recording studio
In Helsinki, we have our own recording studio–which you are free to use for your own projects. We love music and encourage everyone to play their favorite songs.
