As an Advisory Software Engineer – WCS, you will be part of the team that designs and develops cloud-based offerings targeting the small and medium sized Pitney Bowes customer base. We are seeking a Mid-Level WebSphere Commerce Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in developing and delivering high-quality, scalable e-commerce applications using the IBM WebSphere Commerce platform. You will use your expertise in building highly scalable cloud solutions in an agile setting to mentor and guide the rest of the team. The Job

Design and develop web based scalable, extensible, reliable and maintainable platform.

Minimum 5-8 years of experience in the IBM WebSphere Commerce platform.

Provides information on WCS specific processes and patterns to support the requirements gathering and architecture designing efforts of the e-commerce platform.

Proficiency in WebSphere Commerce Suite (Version 7 or later), including WCS customization, data model, and APIs.

Should have demonstrated hands-on skills and expertise in two or more of the subsystems in WCS (Order, Catalog, Member, Marketing, Promotion)

Strong understanding of Java/J2EE, JSP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
-
Experience in e-commerce domain and concepts.
-
Familiarity with REST APIs and web services.
-
Experience with version control tool (Git)
-
Experience in Agile methodologies.
-
Strong understanding of relational databases (DB2 Oracle, MySQL).
-
Familiarity with server-side rendering and deployment.
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to represent abstract challenges in the form of system architecture & design.

Work in an agile, collaborative environment where there is collective ownership of the code.

Qualifications & Skills required

Minimum 5 to 8 years professional software development experience in developing large scale, mission critical and high availability enterprise level web applications using WebSphere platform.

Should have experience as Java Full Stack Developer.

5 years of experience implementing WebSphere Commerce and other WCM platforms, in large scale environments.
-

Proficiency in WebSphere Commerce Suite (Version 7 or later), including WCS customization, data model, and APIs.

Design, develop and support WCS Integrations and applications.

Should have strong experience in core java.

Strong AWS experience and having exp. of AWS migration is an advantage.

Should have experience in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and frameworks like Bootstrap, Angular, etc.

Should be Proficient with Web Services - SOAP & REST, Microservices

Hands on experience in following J2EE Frameworks - Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring Integrations / Batch/ MVC, Struts, Hibernate etc.

Integration experience with Middleware / Data Power, MQ, Web Services and Java, SAP or other ERP, CRM systems such as SFDC.
-
Experience with Servers - WebSphere.

Experience working with databases such as Oracle 11g.

Hands on experience with GIT

Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies

Ability to work with various teams on Web design, requirements/specifications definition, analysis, assessments, planning, design, development, integration, testing, installation, performance tuning and deployment.
