We’re currently looking for a WCO Specialist at our Facility in Waterville, ME and you should be within reasonable commuting distance from here.
What you’ll be doing: Provide change management leadership and Lean Six Sigma expertise needed in the Huhtamaki World Class Operations (Continuous Improvement) Process. Working with all levels of organization, especially directed towards the production floor, the WCO Specialist will assist in identifying areas of improvement, facilitate cost savings and quality improvement projects within the operations cost centers, and business groups.
Essential Functions
- Plan and lead Kaizen Lean & DMAIC Six Sigma projects.
- Organize and facilitate Lean CI events.
- Deliver effective process and financial business improvements.
- Facilitate teams and coach Six Sigma GB projects with hands on participation.
- Communicate and interact with all levels of organization.
- Facilitate team building, organizational leadership, and change management best practices.
- Organize and communicate CI initiatives and results with management staff.
- Document CI projects, develop and conduct project report outs.
- Perform process measurement, and data mining.
- Promote and communicate CI culture, knowledge sharing, and team building.
- Interact and assist with shop floor digitalization initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.

Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, business, or associates degree accompanied by equivalent experience in manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a leadership position, preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical effort requirements may include lifting to 50 lbs., extended standing, and walking extended distances.
- Work environment may include heat, cold, dust, and noise.
- Work schedule may require travel, overtime, or shift work.
