AECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern to be based in Conshohocken, PA.

This position is expected to begin in June 2025.

Internships at AECOM offer students in undergraduate and graduate programs the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in engineering, design, and infrastructure projects that make a real-world impact. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
• Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.
• Enthusiastic individuals eager to face new challenges and take on personal responsibilities are best qualified to meet the demands of this work. An intern is expected to be able to apply technical training to perform basic calculations, work well in a team setting, and be willing to work diligently to learn new skills.

Minimum Requirements:

• Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other related field and must have completed at least two years of study. Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for the position. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Ability to work productively in a collaborative team environment and demonstrate growth potential and a desire to learn.
• A strong sense of commitment and a desire to work in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
• Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering concepts through coursework or work experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience utilizing AutoCAD and ArcGIS.
• Detail-oriented while still able to understand and comply with the big picture/goals of a project.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Strong logic and writing skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Documents time and effort accurately.
