Job Description

Scope of work

  • To repair watches received to the quality standards established by Audemars Piguet.
  • Focus on delivering highest levels of service to customers.

 

Responsibilities

Operational

  1. Be knowledgeable in all AP calibers standard.
  2. To be meticulous, define, dismantle and analyze faulty watch spare parts, repair and replace them.
  3. To adjust the function and mechanisms/components and bring back to its original condition.
  4. To adopt the most effective and efficient methods and reduce the time spent on repairing the faulty watches.
  5. To work closely and render support to the Service centre to ensure that the following duties are carried out but not limited to:

Provide quick repairs (bracelet services i.e. adjustments, batteries & etc):
-    Quartz Watches – Battery & Complete service
-    Hand-wound mechanical and simple automatics

  1. To comply to technical guidelines set out by the company and ensure that quality repair is being carried out.
  2. To discuss issues and provide feedback, if any to superior to achieve productivity level.
  3. Be knowledgeable in operating all equipment related to servicing and repairing watches.
  4. Maintain all equipment in optimum working condition.
  5. Ensure a clean and safe working environment at all times.

Human Resources

  1. Participate in regular training programmes (local and abroad).
  2. Adhere to company policies in terms of day-off, vacation and sick leave.

Miscellaneous

  1. Keep informed of any new developments in the field of horology.
  2. Attend meetings as directed by management.
  3. Carry-out any reasonable request as directed by management.
  4. To undertake special projects or assignments that are assigned to you from time to time by the company.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 year’s relevant working experience.
  • Certificate in Horological science and technology or other related disciplines
  • Positive work attitude and good team player
  • Strong interest in watchmaking

Skills Required

  • Minimum 5 years' relevant watchmaking experience
  • Certificate in Horological Science and Technology or related discipline
  • Knowledgeable in Audemars Piguet calibers and standard AP movements
  • Experience repairing quartz (battery) watches, hand-wound mechanical and simple automatics
  • Ability to operate and maintain all equipment related to servicing and repairing watches
  • Meticulous diagnostic and component-level repair skills
  • Positive work attitude and strong team player
  • Strong interest in watchmaking and continuous learning in horology
