Now is an exciting time to join our Distribution team, a team dedicated to ensuring our customers receive the products they need to achieve their scientific goals – quickly, reliably, and safely. A Day in the Life:
- Workers primary responsibility is to successfully ship out orders of the day in a timely, safe and productive manner
- Performs powered industrial truck pre-use safety inspection checklist
- Reports malfunctioning powered industrial trucks and uses lockout/Tagout SOPs
- Directs, stages and places all material in or outside the building using proper material handling equipment
- Picks, prepares, packages, documents, labels, and ships all material according to prescribed regulations and using accurate dispatching equipment
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- Preferred: Work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field
- Preferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Ability to read and write in English
- Candidates who are committed to working in a safe and efficient manner.
- Worker must be capable of operating powered industrial trucks, forklift operator experience is helpful
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Candidate must be comfortable working in an environment with hazardous and non-hazardous materials
- Ability to work alternately in a seated or standing position is required
