The Role

Job Title: Warehouse Team Lead – Medtech

Location: Finglas, Dublin, Ireland
Reports To: Warehouse Operations Manager
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Summary

The Team Lead will play a crucial role in leading a dynamic team within Uniphar MedTech’s operations. The role involves supervising, mentoring, and developing team members while ensuring operational excellence, compliance with regulatory standards, and continuous improvement. The Warehouse Team Lead will work closely with other departments to achieve company goals, streamline processes, and maintain a high standard of product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of [number] individuals to achieve daily and long-term objectives.

    • Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback and coaching to ensure professional growth and operational effectiveness.

    • Foster a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement within the team.

  • Operational Oversight:

    • Oversee daily operations, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and within quality standards.

    • Ensure production schedules and deadlines are met.

    • Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to assess resource allocation and identify potential bottlenecks.

  • Compliance & Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure that all operations are in compliance with industry regulations.

    • Maintain high standards for product quality, safety, and regulatory adherence.

    • Implement and monitor corrective actions when required.

  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify and implement process optimizations to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

    • Drive the adoption of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices.

    • Support initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and other teams to resolve issues and improve workflows.

    • Work closely with senior leadership to execute strategic initiatives and meet business goals.

  • Reporting & Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of production metrics, team performance, and operational challenges.

    • Prepare and present regular reports for senior management on progress, challenges, and team achievements.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Quality Management are a plus.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a leadership role within the MedTech, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing industry.

    • Proven track record in team leadership, operations management, or production in a regulated environment.

    • Familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA regulations, CE Marking, and other industry-specific standards.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong understanding of MedTech products and manufacturing processes.

    • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, quality control, and assurance practices in the MedTech industry.

    • Proficient in ERP systems (NAV , Microsoft Dynamics )

  • Leadership & Management Skills:

    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    • Experience with mentoring and developing team members.

    • Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Strong ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.

    • Ability to foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Team player who is able to work under pressure and delegate tasks efficiently must be able to multi-task.

  • Experience with change management and leading cross-functional teams.

  • knowledge of H&S and MHE must be able to demonstrate relevant skill set regarding MHE equipment .

  • Knowledge of digital transformation and automation trends in the MedTech sector.
