Department OverviewThe Americas Distribution organization is part of Business Operations within the Supply Chain. The function leads the coordination of the Distribution Operations in North America and Latin America and includes both internal and outsourced operations
The Warehouse Process Improvement Manager is responsible for managing Quality/Cost/Delivery performance for all North America and Latin America Distribution Operations. Note: This is an individual contributor role.
Job Description

In this role you will:

  • Work closely with partnered 3PL on a day-to-day basis and driving and/or supporting continuous improvement activities/projects.
  • Develop monthly Capacity Plan for DC 3PL operations by analyzing Sales Forecast, Order Booking and delinquency data.
  • Work daily with the offshore Purchasing team to resolve shipments that cannot be received due to invalid information (PO Number, ASN, Part Number).
  • Oversee the Reverse Logistics activity between MSI and the 3PL. Implement continuous improvement programs to reduce cost and cycle time.
  • Monitor Li-ion battery aging, issuing direction to 3PL to minimize scrap impact. Work directly with Sales Operations and Finance to disposition all units at risk of being scrapped.
  • Support international trade compliance. Resolve commercial invoices and country of origin issues. Audit 3PL to ensure compliance is maintained.
  • Work directly with Corporate Audit and the 3PL to insure all processes meet required Audit Standards. Drive resolution and closure of Audit Findings.
  • Project manage any special projects as required (eg: Customer specific labeling/packaging, reworks, etc.)
  • Run Oracle Cycle Count reports; and monitor/coordinate with 3PL to resolve Cycle Count issues.
  • Create reports by using SQL to access EDH (Enterprise Data Hub).
  • Work directly with the NPI team and 3PL to ensure timely execution and implementation of NPI programs.
  • Monitor Scrap and liaise with 3PL and Finance as needed to resolve material disposition.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement projects within the 3PL and operation using data to drive the decision making process

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with 3PL operations
  • Project Management experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle ERP
  • Proficient in use of SQL to generate ad hoc reports
  • Strong working knowledge of Inventory Management and Audit processes
  • Strong team member and ability to collaborate and influence people from many organizations
  • Strong data analysis and problem solving skills
  • Capable of developing detailed project plans, status reports and manage escalations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects within a matrix organization, in a fast paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities
  • Expected to work with Supply Chain teams in different time zones
  • Ability to lead the organization in the absence of the DC Operations Manager.

Basic Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Management, or Supply Chain

  • Five plus years of work experience related to Distribution, Operations, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Transportation required.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
