Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Manage on-site warehouse operations ensuring compliance with site safety, food safety, hygiene and regulatory standards (traceability, storage rules, sanitation).
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verify quantities and condition against purchase orders, and record receipts in ERP system (JDE).
  • Control inventory through cycle counts, audits, reconciliations and implementation of FIFO, labelling and bin organisation to minimize shrinkage and picking errors.
  • Store raw materials and finished goods according to material storage requirements; maintain storage systems and perform routine inspections of forklifts, high reach and pallet jacks to meet H&S standards.
  • Pick, pack and prepare customer/store orders; consolidate sales orders, ensure correct labelling, packing and pallet configuration (including retailer-specific requirements), coordinate carrier pickups and load trucks safely.
  • Issue materials and record finished goods in ERP system (JDE) in accordance with production schedules and internal standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and regular reports (inventory tracking, invoices, delivery notes, inspection reports and photos) to support supplier claims, returns and traceability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise warehouse space utilisation, drive process improvements and implement best practices.

About you:
  • Proven experience in a warehouse environment, including receiving, picking, packing and dispatch
  • Forklift licence (including high reach) with F endorsement / OHS forklift certification (mandatory)
  • Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (JDE) and ERP transactions
  • Microsoft Office skills, with strong Excel capabilities (data analysis, pivot tables, formulas)
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, traceability and regulatory storage requirements
  • Sound, logical thinker with an end-to-end process view and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, record-keeping and documentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand - with full working rights
