Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Manage on-site warehouse operations ensuring compliance with site safety, food safety, hygiene and regulatory standards (traceability, storage rules, sanitation).
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verify quantities and condition against purchase orders, and record receipts in ERP system (JDE).
- Control inventory through cycle counts, audits, reconciliations and implementation of FIFO, labelling and bin organisation to minimize shrinkage and picking errors.
- Store raw materials and finished goods according to material storage requirements; maintain storage systems and perform routine inspections of forklifts, high reach and pallet jacks to meet H&S standards.
- Pick, pack and prepare customer/store orders; consolidate sales orders, ensure correct labelling, packing and pallet configuration (including retailer-specific requirements), coordinate carrier pickups and load trucks safely.
- Issue materials and record finished goods in ERP system (JDE) in accordance with production schedules and internal standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and regular reports (inventory tracking, invoices, delivery notes, inspection reports and photos) to support supplier claims, returns and traceability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise warehouse space utilisation, drive process improvements and implement best practices.
About you:
- Proven experience in a warehouse environment, including receiving, picking, packing and dispatch
- Forklift licence (including high reach) with F endorsement / OHS forklift certification (mandatory)
- Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (JDE) and ERP transactions
- Microsoft Office skills, with strong Excel capabilities (data analysis, pivot tables, formulas)
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, traceability and regulatory storage requirements
- Sound, logical thinker with an end-to-end process view and a continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent communication, teamwork, record-keeping and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand - with full working rights
