Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Wafer yield engineer is responsible for 1) wafer yield characterization, 2) facilitate yield improvement, 3) Wafer Fab to Backend communication and FA, as well as:

• Data analysis to characterize the dependence of wafer performance/yield on wafer parameters
• Facilitate or manage wafer yield improvement projects
• Coordinate the FA for Backend related wafer issues
• Communicate with Backend for wafer issue and change

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD, MS in materials science, physics, EE or relevant area
• Two-year experience working in magnetic recording head
• Strong knowledge and experience of wafer processes
• Knowledgeable in the magnetic recording head, hard disk drive, or semiconductor industry 
• Experienced in data mining and data analysis. Proficient in use of JMP, or other statistic tools 
• Familiar with 8D and FA method
• Strong and creative problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills. Able to work productively and collaboratively with all levels of colleagues and managements
• Good project management skills
