Failure Analysis Engineering Technician - Material Handling & Pack Management
Summary
Failure Analysis Engineer Technician with a focus on material handling and pack management. Individual will support onsite L11 operations by managing L10 material, preparing units for shipment, and assisting onsite FAEs with basic assembly, disassembly, and documentation tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle, organize, and track L10 material during the failure analysis, repair, and return processes.
- Prepare DOA material for shipment using proper packaging, labeling, and handling methods.
- Ensure material is protected from damage during storage, movement, and shipping.
- Assist onsite FAEs with basic assembly and disassembly of hardware to support root-cause analysis and repair.
- Inspect material for visible damage, missing parts, incorrect assembly, or improper packing.
- Use RMA tracking systems to update material status, failure details, and shipping readiness.
- Provide clear email reports or updates when needed.
- Follow ESD, safety, material handling, and engineering work instructions.
- Coordinate with engineering, warehouse, and shipping teams as needed.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Hands-on technical ability with electronics, computer hardware, servers, or mechanical assemblies.
- Ability to follow SOP instructions and engineering direction.
- Strong attention to detail when labeling, handling and packing material.
- Basic understanding of ESD-safe handling and protection of sensitive electronics.
- Computer literacy skills, including email, spreadsheets, and internal tracking systems.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and package hardware as required
Working Condition
Environment is climate controlled. Should be able to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 45 pounds. Able to work in an environment with loud noise.
