Vulnerability Management Engineer

As a Vulnerability Management Engineer you would be responsible for:-
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and manage vulnerability scanning activities across our organization's systems, networks, and applications.
- Utilize industry-standard vulnerability assessment tools and techniques to identify security weaknesses, misconfigurations, and potential risks.
- Review and analyze the output of vulnerability scans, prioritize vulnerabilities based on severity and potential impact, and provide actionable recommendations for remediation to system administrators, development teams, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with system owners, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely and effective remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
- Track and follow up on remediation progress, provide guidance on vulnerability mitigation strategies, and verify that patches and fixes are implemented correctly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Security , CISSP ) are desirable.
- 5+ years of experience in vulnerability management of which at least 3 years of experience in AWS or other Cloud environments
- Strong experience in vulnerability management, particularly in cloud environments, with a focus on AWS services.
- In-depth knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools, such as Nessus, Qualys, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in conducting penetration testing and vulnerability assessments in AWS environments
- Familiar with Static and Dynamic scanning tools both commercial and open source such as NPM Audit, CVE Scanners, Static code scanners
- Experience with scripting and automation using languages such as Python and Bash.
