Job Summary:

We are looking for a mid-level frontend software engineer to join our dynamic team. You will work on building intuitive, responsive, and scalable user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks, focusing on enhancing the experience for students, educators, and administrators alike. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a cross-functional team in an agile environment to deliver impactful educational products used by millions of students.

The focus of this role will be working on an innovative program that supplements United States History and Literacy curricula for Middle and High School students. This product is designed to improve students' reading proficiency while deepening their understanding of American history. A key focus of this role will be integrating AI features to personalize learning experiences, helping students achieve measurable growth and success in both history and literacy.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, test, and maintain responsive web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and Vue.js.
  • Work closely with backend developers, product managers, and user experience designers to build user-friendly and scalable features.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and high code quality.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of new features, ensuring performance and maintainability.
  • Collaborate within a Scrum team, contributing to sprint planning, estimations, and reviews.
  • Debug and resolve technical issues across the platform in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in software development.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Proficiency in Vue.js is strongly preferred, but experience with other modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular) will be considered.
  • Understanding of frontend architecture, responsive design, and performance optimization.
  • Experience working within a Scrum team or an agile environment.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Nice to have - .NET experience in full stack development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with Vue.js and its ecosystem (Vuex, Vue Router, etc.).
  • Experience with state management libraries like Vuex, Pinia, or similar.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend tools and build processes (e.g., Webpack, Vite, etc.).
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud or similar Cloud Platforms.
  • Previous experience working in educational technology or with AI-driven platforms.
