Digital Consultants is seeking a Video Teleconference (VTC) Administrator to lead and manage the VTC for US Army North, located at Fort Sam Houston, a US Army post in San Antonio, TX. VTC Administrator serves as a Video Teleconferencing Subject Matter Expert (SME) Specialist at multiple locations with responsibility for planning, coordinating, scheduling, promoting, and providing video teleconference (VTC) support to a variety of organizations for HQs elements.

Duties to include: 

  • Provides administrative and technical support in connection with VTC operations, including responsibility to plan, advise on, schedule, coordinate, promote, and conduct VTC conferences and user training. Provides a full range of VTC operational support and utilizes creative and imaginative skills and abilities in optimizing VTC use. 
  • Provide guidance concerning VTC capability, services, and operations. Operates the VTC systems in compliance with appropriate policies, regulations, procedures and other guidance. Keeps in close touch with relevant research and development with a view to provide better service as well as reduce costs.  
  • Directs VTC operations to ensure compliance with all security policies and procedures. 
  • Provide planning and execution of conventional teleconferencing formats and methods of presentation. The work contributes to the improvement of productivity, effectiveness and efficiency of the organization in terms of work hours saved and cost avoidance throughout the command, including activities in remote locations. The administrator shall also provide on-site support during live, interactive communications collaborative meetings, instructional courses, and informational presentations. operations.  
  • Operates the VTC systems in compliance with appropriate policies, regulations, procedures and other guidance. Keeps in close touch with relevant research and development with a view to providing better service as well as reduce costs. Directs VTC operations to ensure compliance with all security policies and procedures. 
  • Conduct VTC equipment preventive maintenance performance by providing technical expertise required to analyze, diagnose, and report or correct technical problems and/or malfunctions. Troubleshoots and resolves network problems or escalates as required.  
  • Maintain a wide variety of records necessary to prepare reports. Determines required operating equipment and supplies and maintains supply levels to assure availability. 
  • Provide any audio-visual support services required in support of the ARNORTH HQs such as joint assessments, command events and ceremonies, family readiness programs, ceremonies, equal employee opportunity functions whether on or off post at a remote location. 
  • Support surge requirements of 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during key exercises or real-world events.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years of experience planning, coordinating, scheduling, promoting, and providing video teleconference (VTC) support to a variety of organizations for HQs elements. 
  • Have knowledge in scheduling VTC sessions in VTC bridges; as well as hands-on experience with debugging the interoperation of VTC bridges and end points. 
  • Must possess problem-solving and customer service; and have a thorough knowledge of VTC hardware; software and network connections.  
  • Clearance: Active Secret 
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certifications: DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level I certification
