In order to achieve this state of success, this position will focus on leading the Credit Union’s efforts to grow and maintain a robust Business Deposit portfolio and suite of Treasury Services. The position will be involved in identifying, soliciting, developing, and managing business deposit relationships for the Credit Union while also helping others do so. This position will refer personal and business financial needs of business clients to appropriate Allegacy resources.

Specific Accountabilities 

The VP, Treasury Services is responsible for partnering with other departments within Allegacy to ensure the successful delivery of our business deposit and Treasury Services as well as leading deposit development activities with new and existing small business and commercial members. This individual should possess a comprehensive understanding of the credit union processing regulatory environment, industry trends and practices, and have a thorough knowledge of Allegacy’s products, policies and procedures.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy & Process:

  • Works closely with Credit Union leadership to develop business deposit budgets and forecasts
  • Evaluates current product offerings and industry trends and recommends changes to ensure Allegacy is positioned competitively in the market.
  • Continuously evaluates systems and procedures to increase accuracy, minimize risk, and minimize manual intervention
  • Provides education on treasury and payment services to financial center, CUSO, payment systems, MBL, and other areas of the Credit Union 
  • Recommends development and enhancement of presentation and promotional materials to effectively market Credit Union’s deposit, treasury and payment services
  • Manages Treasury Analyst to ensure quality and timely Member set-ups and problem resolution.

Business Development:

  • Initiates business development calls to existing and prospective business members
  • Develops and maintains a portfolio of treasury and payment Services account relationships
  • Cultivates relationships with other business lines by participating in joint calls and offering quality referrals 
  • Utilizes a customized, consultative approach to engage clients to offer greater efficiencies in their cash flow cycle
  • Prepares and presents proposals to clients and prospects and conducts financial analysis as required 
  • Ensures that defined sales process standards are adhered to, including pipeline and calling activity reports

Member Servicing:

  • Develops strategies to maintain and expand existing member relationships. Proactively service and cross sell relationships for the purpose of improving member satisfaction and generating additional deposit and fee income for the Credit Union
  • Work with various departments within the Credit Union to identify, prioritize, and resolve client servicing issues, training, and client transitions

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • 7-10 years of experience in Commercial Business Development (including outbound sales) with at least 2 years in the area of Treasury Services
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, HS required
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) and Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification preferred
