Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Vice President to contribute to the strategic growth and operational excellence of United Overseas Bank Ltd. This role will involve leading key initiatives, managing high-performing teams, and driving significant business outcomes within a dynamic financial services environment.
Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with the bank's overall objectives, specifically focusing on Trade Finance Operations and Wholesale Banking Operations 

• Lead and manage a team of professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Oversee the execution of key projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and achievement of desired outcomes.

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.

• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decision-making.

• Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense control for assigned portfolios or departments.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant banking regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.

• Prepare and present reports, analyses, and recommendations to senior management.

• Drive innovation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the bank.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the financial services industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.

• Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects and achieving significant business results.

• Strong understanding of banking operations, financial products, and market dynamics within International Trade Finance market 

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate diverse teams.

• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.

• Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and relevant banking software.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Strong ethical conduct and commitment to regulatory compliance.

• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other regional languages may be an advantage.
