We are seeking a seasoned VP Technical Operations to lead and drive the strategic direction of our complex, multi-disciplinary projects. This role requires a deep understanding of system engineering principles, project management methodologies, and a proven track record of implementing and delivering innovative solutions in the deeptech or semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the overarching orchestration strategy, aligning with the company's long-term vision.
  • Collaborate with the CTO to ensure delivery is on track and that each team knows what needs to be done.
  • Assess and analyze risks to inform decision-making, prioritize and articulate critical projects.

  • Program Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end programs' lifecycle, from inception to delivery.
  • Establish robust project management frameworks and methodologies.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and plan corrective actions.
  • Responsible for overseeing and ensuring the successful delivery of projects, products.
  • Manage program budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.

  • System Engineering Expertise:

  • Implement and drive continuous improvement in system engineering processes and methodologies.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and product quality.
  • Identify and clarify unclear interfaces or dependences.
  • Ensure consistency of subsystems development.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including engineering, operations, sales, and marketing.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination across diverse teams.
  • Resolve conflicts and ensure alignment on project goals and objectives.

  • Talent Development:

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent in the field of system engineering and project management.
  • Mentor and coach team members to foster professional growth and development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive work environment.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in the deeptech or semiconductor industry (software & hardware).
  • Advanced degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects/programs.
  • Deep understanding of system engineering principles, project management methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
