Summary:


In this role, you will lead all strategic and operational functions and expansion of Vizient’s Reserve program, including oversight of sourcing operations, member enrollment and product access.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the strategic lead for the Vizient Reserve program, with accountability for analytics, sourcing, operations, membership expansion, reporting, finance, account management, and overall business unit strategy and execution.
  • Ensure appropriate engagement with various Vizient member councils and task forces; ensure appropriate use of marketing resources and use of analytical data to expand member adoption and deliver on differentiated member value. Maintain and expand business relationships with suppliers for critical categories establishes programs that deliver member value and product access. 
  • Lead complex negotiations and manage supplier relationships in coordination with national sourcing teams, ensuring strategic approaches to maximize value and product coverage for critical categories.
  • Accountable for selling various Vizient Reserve offering into all member accounts, in close collaboration with account management teams.
  • Maintain and grows member relationships and profitability and manages P&L for the Vizient Reserve Program.
  • Develop and execute business plans and member strategies to achieve program goals. Applies in-depth knowledge of healthcare supply chain trends and leading practices to drive program growth and adoption.
  • Drive process improvements, service offerings, policies, and programs to enhance operations. Sets goals and strategic plans for the program, utilizing standardized reporting, forecasting, and business analysis for direction.
  • Lead and develop talent for the program’s near- and long-term needs, leveraging talent management practices and building succession plans to meet Vizient’s future objectives.
  • Accountable for results, growth, and driving business strategies to ensure program success. Manages the contract portfolio, including maximization and enhancement, while continually evaluating opportunities for program growth.
  • Manage revenue and expenses of the program to ensure positive performance against established revenue and cost forecasts and develop strategies to mitigate any risk to these financial goals.
  • Assure appropriate depth and breadth of product coverage and seamless access through the Reserve program.
  • Lead program recruitment efforts including oversight of the sales pipeline in collaboration with the category and delivery teams; persuasively articulates the value of the program to executive leadership of potential supplier and provider participants


Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred. Advanced degree desired. 
  • Proven experience in strategic leadership roles within the healthcare industry, with a focus on program management and business development. (3-5 years)
  • Strong understanding of healthcare supply chain operations, industry trends, and leading practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing strategic plans, driving innovation, and leading changes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed organization and effectively manage cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $187,800.00 to $328,600.00.
